The Minot Minotauros' Joe Hockert scored 33 seconds into overtime to beat the Alexandria Blizzard, 4-3 (OT). Minot nearly gave up a two-score lead. The Minotauros made it 3-1 on a goal by Brian Farkas at 8:43 in the second period. Alexandria pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Vadim Gyesbreghs at 14:23 in the third period. Minot was sparked by Hockert, who tallied one goal. By firing 25 shots on goal, the Minotauros exceeded the 17.9 shots they average per game this year. Minot's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Minotauros average 1.7 goal per contest. Minot additionally got points from Farkas, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kelvin Walz also scored for Minot.
