Port Huron falls to Jamestown after surprising comeback

The Jamestown Ironmen rallied from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win over the Port Huron Fighting Falcons.

Jamestown never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Ironmen fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Port Huron's Maxwell Reavis at 5:57 in the third period. Jamestown knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Blake Kelley at 13:21 in the third period. The Ironmen netted the game winner at 16:04 in the third period on a goal by Kelley.

Jamestown was led by Luc Gerdes, who racked up one goal.

The Ironmen's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Port Huron power plays. By firing 27 shots on goal, Jamestown exceeded the 23.9 shots it averages per game this year. The Ironmen's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 11 shots between them.

Jamestown also got a goal from Matt Moore as well. In addition, Jamestown received assists from Ryan Urso, John Roisum, Jeff McFarland, and Cody Sarmiento, who contributed one a piece.

The Fighting Falcons put 49 shots on net during the contest, more than the 32.2 they average per game.

Other players who recorded assists for Port Huron were Alex Globke, Brett DAndrea, and Mike Moroso, who each chipped in one.

Joe Gladnick recorded 47 saves for Jamestown. The Ironmen incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Peter Megariotis made 24 saves for Port Huron on 27 shots. The Fighting Falcons incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
