Edward Dyson stood on his head and made 37 saves to lead the Dawson Creek Rage to a 2-1 victory over the Wenatchee Wild. Dawson Creek was led by Ryan Matthews, who registered one goal. Matthews scored 15:43 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Dawson Creek. Troy Petrick assisted on the tally. The Rage excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Carter Page also scored for Dawson Creek. In addition, Dawson Creek received assists from Shawn Mueller and Scott Fellnermayr, who contributed one a piece. Wenatchee put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Dawson Creek to score on any of its three power plays. The Wild forced the Rage goalie Dyson to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Wenatchee was led by Max McHugh, who scored the team's only goal. McHugh scored 10:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. Chris Kerr provided the assist. Dawson Creek ended with 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors. Greg Lewis rejected 20 shots on goal for the Wild. Wenatchee ended with 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors.
