Springfield beats Janesville 2-0 as Antoni gains shutout

Gabe Antoni made 29 saves to complete the shutout and led the Springfield Jr. Blues to a 2-0 win against the Janesville Jets.

Springfield was led by Gavin Tufte, who had one goal. Tufte scored 17:02 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Springfield. Ethan Nauman assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Blues stifled Janesville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Springfield also got a goal from Josef Pontasch as well. Other players who recorded assists for Springfield were Kevin Walters, Chris Sitler, and Justin Johnson, who contributed one a piece.

The Jets did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Janesville puts an average of 2.9 pucks into the net per game.

The Jets were led by Jordan Bancroft, who took four shots.
