Minot downs Austin in overtime, 1-0 (OT)

The Minot Minotauros' Hans Drawbert scored 3:20 into overtime to beat the Austin Bruins, 1-0 (OT).

Tim Shaughnessy frustrated Austin's offense all game, and stopped 33 shots en route to a shutout. Shaughnessy certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.53 entering the contest.

The 30 shots that Minot put on net surpassed the Minotauros' average of 18.4 shots per game this season. Minot's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 13 shots between them.

Other players who recorded assists for Minot were Mike Mezzano and Denis Dalidovich, who contributed one a piece.

The Bruins did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Austin averages 3.3 goals per game. The defense for the Bruins played an important role offensively, racking up 15 shots on goal. Austin's offense rang up 33 shots on the Minotauros' net.

The Bruins were led by Christian Folin, who took seven shots.

Minot totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Tyler Bruggeman rejected 29 shots on goal for Austin. The Bruins totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
