Janesville squeaks by Coulee Region, 4-3

The Janesville Jets gutted out a close 4-3 win against the Coulee Region Chill.

Janesville gained the winning advantage on a goal by Jordan Bancroft 13:18 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Bancroft had two goals to lead the Jets to victory.

By firing 40 shots on goal, Janesville exceeded the 30.0 shots it averages per game this year.

Janesville also got a goal from Bryan Kronberger as well. In addition, Janesville received assists from Jordan Himley, who had two and Eric Carlson, John Olen, and Ben Hughes, who contributed one a piece.

Coulee Region was helped by Tyler Klein, who grabbed one goal. Klein scored 18:27 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Janesville. Ryan Jaremko picked up the assist. Coulee Region additionally got points from Mac Jansen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jake Useldinger also scored for Coulee Region. More assists for Coulee Region came via Myles Maltz, who had one and Cory Lushanko, who had two.

The Jets' Brock Kautz stopped 17 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Janesville finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-2 with the man advantage. Aaron Davis rejected 36 shots on goal for the Chill. Coulee Region incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
