Milosek stymies Michigan, Port Huron wins 4-1Dort Event Center 1 Sat, Mar 10, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Port Huron Fighting Falcons relied on the sparkling performance of Max Milosek in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Michigan Warriors. Port Huron was led by Brett DAndrea, who finished with one goal and one assist. DAndrea scored on the power play 4:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Port Huron. The Fighting Falcons had taken the advantage when Michigan's Ben Gislason got sent off for interference. Ian Miller provided the assist. With 45 shots on target during the contest, Port Huron exceeded the 28.5 shots it averages per game this year. Port Huron also got a goal from Nolan Valleau as well. In addition, Port Huron received assists from Easton Powers, Ryan Teal, Logan Lemirande, Mitch Sand, and Nicholas Sierra, who contributed one a piece. By firing 26 shots on goal, the Warriors exceeded the 23.5 shots they average per game this year. Milosek recorded 25 saves for the Fighting Falcons. Port Huron incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Michigan's starting goalie, Brach Tiller, made 10 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Trevor Gorsuch, who stopped 31 shots. The Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
