The Traverse City North Stars tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Jamestown Ironmen would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Jamestown made the score 4-2 on a goal by Blake Kelley at 37 seconds in the third period, and Traverse City got as close as 4-3 when Eric Rivard scored 10:07 into the third period. The Ironmen was paced on offense by Jeff McFarland and Kelley, who combined for four points. McFarland finished with two goals and Kelley also added one goal and one assist. By firing 27 shots on goal, Jamestown exceeded the 21.6 shots it averages per game this year. Luc Gerdes also scored for Jamestown. Other players who recorded assists for Jamestown were Bryan Watt, who had two and Aaron Scheppelman and Aaron Arm, who each chipped in one. The North Stars put 26 shots on net during the contest, more than the 22.1 they average per game. Traverse City also got a goal from Will Badner as well. More assists for Traverse City came via Frank Gilbert, Jared Van Wormer, and Chris Leibinger, who contributed one a piece. Joe Ballmer made 23 saves for the Ironmen on 26 shots. Jamestown incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Traverse City's Kyle Laslo stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The North Stars incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
