Wenatchee rips Dawson Creek, 3-0

The Wenatchee Wild had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over the Dawson Creek Rage.

Wenatchee was led by Chris Kerr, who finished with one goal. Kerr scored short handed 13:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. An interference call on Brendan Vetter put the Wild on the penalty kill. Shawn Pauly provided the assist.

Wenatchee's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Dawson Creek power plays. The Wild put 44 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.4 they average per game.

Wenatchee also got a goal from Max McHugh as well. More assists for Wenatchee came via Blake Roubos, Dylan Abood, and Tyler Rostenkowski, who each chipped in one.

Dawson Creek excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Rage average 23.0 shots on goal per game, but only sent 16 pucks on net against Wenatchee. Dawson Creek was held below its usual level of production. The Rage put an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game.

Dawson Creek was led by Tyson McCallum, who took three shots.

Robert Nichols recorded 16 saves for the Wild. Wenatchee incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Paul Bourbeau made 41 saves for the Rage on 44 shots. Dawson Creek incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
