Fairbanks downs Dawson Creek, 2-1

Gabe Levin grabbed one point to lead the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a 2-1 victory over the Dawson Creek Rage.

Fairbanks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Ice Dogs put 42 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.0 they average per game.

Rudy Sulmonde also scored for Fairbanks. In addition, Fairbanks received assists from Garret Clemment, Tayler Munson, Alec Hajdukovich, and Justin Woods, who contributed one a piece.

Dawson Creek's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Fairbanks power plays. With 24 shots on target during the contest, the Rage exceeded the 20.9 shots they average per game this year.

Dawson Creek was led by Austin Adduono, who scored the team's only goal. Adduono scored 5:52 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Evan Ripley assisted on the tally.

Alex Fons rejected 23 shots on goal for Fairbanks. The Ice Dogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Rage's Paul Bourbeau stopped 40 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Dawson Creek incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
