The Queen City Steam used a sparkling performance by Alex Lazarski to take down the Michigan Mountain Cats, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Queen City's 3-0 shutout victory.

The Steam were sparked by Trevor Voelker, who racked up one goal. Voelker scored 11:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Queen City. Eric Woodward provided the assist.

Michigan was unable to stop Queen City from sending pucks towards the net, and the Steam eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Chase Martin also scored for Queen City. Other players who recorded assists for Queen City were Oliver Wenck, Niels Olesen, Trevor Anderson, and Taylor Penman, who each chipped in one.

The Mountain Cats were held below their usual level of production. Michigan averages 3.1 goals per game.

Lazarski rejected 25 shots on goal for Queen City. The Steam incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Schuyler Ferguson recorded 32 saves for the Mountain Cats. Michigan incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
