Davis Dekorte tallied two points to lead the Kalamazoo Jr. K Wings to a 5-2 victory over the Traverse City North Stars.

Kalamazoo also got points from Nick Kovalchik, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Dekorte, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Kalamazoo included Brock Raffaele, who had one and Kyle Gattelaro, who had two. In addition, Kalamazoo received assists from Danny Hamburg, who had two and Chris Leone, Alex Brooks, Anthony Appleyard, Robbie Payne, Jacob McDowell, and Brandon Flood, who each chipped in one.

Traverse City was helped by Seth Adams, who finished with one goal. Adams scored 12:05 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Traverse City. Sean Murphy provided the assist. Kyle Schempp also scored for Traverse City. Other players who recorded assists for Traverse City were Chris Leibinger and JD Cotroneo, who contributed one each.

Kenneth MacLean made 22 saves for Kalamazoo on 24 shots. The Jr. K Wings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Kyle Laslo turned away 20 pucks between the pipes for the North Stars. Traverse City incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
