Fairbanks downs Wenatchee, 3-1

Pavlo Padakin had one point to lead the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a 3-1 victory over the Wenatchee Wild.

Jeff Earnest also scored for Fairbanks. Other players who recorded assists for Fairbanks were Max Birkinbine, who had two and Pete Spratte, Gabe Levin, and Tayler Munson, who each chipped in one.

Wenatchee averages 27 shots on goal per game, but only sent 20 pucks on net against Fairbanks.

The Wild were led by Jacob Barber, who scored the team's only goal. Barber scored on the power play 11:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. An elbowing penalty on Justin Woods had put Wenatchee on the power play. Ben Carey assisted on the tally.

Steve Perry made 19 saves for the Ice Dogs on 20 shots. Fairbanks totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. The Wild's Robert Nichols stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Wenatchee totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
