St. Louis blows out Janesville, 6-1

The Janesville Jets had trouble finding ways to stop the St. Louis Bandits, which beat Jets, 6-1.

St. Louis was led by goalie Spencer Viele, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Viele will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.37.

Joseph Birmingham had one goal and two assists to lead the Bandits. Birmingham scored on the power play 14:20 into the third period to make the score 6-1 St. Louis. St. Louis earned a power play opportunity when Bryan Kronberger was put in the box for elbowing. Joe Kalisz provided the assist.

The Bandits managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. St. Louis finished below its season average of 15 penalty minutes per game.
