The New Mexico Mustangs' Adam Chapie had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 4-1 win over the Odessa Jackalopes.

Chapie scored at 12:38 into the second period to make the score 1-0 New Mexico and again on the power play 7:14 into the third to make the score 3-1 New Mexico.

New Mexico's Jake Stafford was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 35 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Stafford will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.68.

The Mustangs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. New Mexico put 35 shots on net during the contest, more than the 24 it averages per game.
