The Kemptville 73s survived a determined comeback attempt by the Gloucester Rangers on the way to a 5-4 win.

Kemptville made the score 4-2 on a goal by Steven Genier at 9:06 in the second period, and Gloucester got as close as 4-3 when Jamie Molinski scored 9:26 into the third period.

The 73s managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Kemptville finished below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. The 73s kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Doug Johnston made 26 saves on 31 shots. Kemptville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season.
