Ottawa's Robillard deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Nepean

Behind a great game by Ben Robillard, who had two goals, the Ottawa Senators defeated the Nepean Raiders, 5-2.

Robillard scored short handed at 19:18 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Ottawa and again while 13:51 into the third to make the score 5-2 Ottawa.

Ottawa made the most of it opportunities with a man advantage, slotting home two goals while Nepean was on the penalty kill.

Ottawa additionally got points from Dylan Giberson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Kevin Ryder also scored for Ottawa. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Drew Anderson and Thierry Gibeault, who contributed one a piece and Deric Boudreau and Conor Brown, who each chipped in two.

The Raiders' offense operated below they season average. Nepean averages 4.4 goals per game. The Raiders' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Nepean is averaging 2.5 goals against for the season.

The Raiders were helped by Mitchell Herlihey, who tallied one goal. Herlihey scored 6:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nepean. Jake Butler picked up the assist. Nepean also got a goal from Dalen Hedges as well. More assists for Nepean came via Vincent Llorca, Craig Cowie, and Ben Hutton, who contributed one a piece.

Ed Zdolshek recorded 28 saves for the Senators. Ottawa incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dylan BrindAmour made 23 saves for Nepean on 28 shots. The Raiders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
