Pembroke rips Carleton Place, 5-2

The Pembroke Lumber Kings were firing on all cylinders against the Carleton Place Canadians, and when the final buzzer sounded Lumber Kings emerged with a 5-2 win.

Pembroke got the win thanks to a great game by Geoff Gallagher, who had one goal and three assists. Gallagher scored 5:21 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. Ben Dalpe assisted on the tally.

The Lumber Kings made Carleton Place's goalies to work all game long, getting 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Joe Yetman made 21 stops and Brodie Barrick made eight.

Pembroke also got points from Dalpe, who also registered one goal and two assists and Gallagher, who also finished with one goal and three assists. Zach Loesch also scored for Pembroke. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Will Seeber, Chris King, and Trevor Packard, who each chipped in one.

The Canadians did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Carleton Place averages four goals per game. The Canadians forced Pembroke goalie Francis Dupuis to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Carleton Place was led by Brock Edwards, who had one goal and one assist. Edwards scored on the power play 11:18 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke. The Canadians had gotten the advantage when the Lumber Kings' Justin Pelock was sent off for tripping. Jay Llewelyn picked up the assist. Carleton Place additionally got points from Edwards, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Carleton Place got a goal from Mac Olson as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Theo Hannah and Elias Ghantous, who contributed one each.

Dupuis recorded 31 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Carleton Place incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
