Michael Buonincontri gave the Smiths Falls Bears a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Brockville Braves when he scored 2:38 into the extra period.

Smiths Falls was led by Buonincontri, who grabbed one goal.

Jordan Spavor also scored for Smiths Falls. Other players who recorded assists for Smiths Falls were Patrick Sexton, who had one and Robbie Hall and Matt Robertson, who each chipped in two.

Brockville could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Braves put an average of four pucks into the net per game.

Brockville was helped by David Ferreira, who racked up one goal. Ferreira scored 12:38 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Kenny Matheson picked up the assist. Brockville got a goal from Zach Todd as well. More assists for Brockville came via Ben Blasko, Sebastien Gingras, and David Roy, who contributed one each.

The Bears' Mackenzie Sawyer stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Smiths Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. William Betts turned away 21 pucks between the pipes for the Braves. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
