Tylor Spink netted a hat trick to lead the Cornwall Colts over the Kemptville 73s, 10-1. Spink's first goal came 16:19 into the second period. He then added goals at 1:17 into the third and at 13:30 into the third.The game was close after the first frame, but Cornwall banged in five goals during the second period to put the victory out of reach for Kemptville. The Colts took advantage of the 73s' penalties and slotted in six goals on the power play. Cornwall made 73s' goaltenders to work all game long, racking up 38 shots and forcing 28 saves. Travis Wilkins made 21 stops and Ryan Mulder made seven. The Colts outdid their season average for goals scored. Cornwall averages three goals per game. The Colts had trouble staying out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 14 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. The leading offender was Drew Henry, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Cornwall also got points from Mark Hough, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Roman Ammirato, who also registered two goals and one assist, Kyle Baun, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Spink, who also had three goals and two assists, and Tyson Spink, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Billy Ulrick also scored for Cornwall. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Michael Borkowski, who had two and Stephen Johnson, Alexandre Gendron, and Thomas Lang, who each chipped in one. Kemptville could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. The leading offender was Cedric Lacroix, who totaled four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The 73s were led by Kurt Gowdy, who scored the team's only goal. Gowdy scored on the power play 8:48 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cornwall. Kemptville had taken the advantage when Cornwall's Borkowski got sent off for interference. Jake Martin picked up the assist. Matt Jenkins made 14 saves for the Colts on 15 shots.
