Brockville blows out Kemptville, 7-1

The Kemptville 73s had trouble finding ways to stop the Brockville Braves, which beat 73s, 7-1.

Brockville was sparked by David Roy, who had one goal and one assist. Roy scored 11:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brockville. Mike DeBello provided the assist.

The Braves made Kemptville's netminders to work in net, finishing with 45 shots and forcing 38 saves. Travis Wilkins made 22 stops and Ryan Mulder made 16. Brockville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Braves have scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Brockville also got points from DeBello, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Ben Blasko, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Jon-Paul Durso, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Brockville also got a goal from Zach Todd as well. In addition, Brockville received assists from Taylor Henry, who had two and Shane Riddell, Brandon Anselmini, Scott Dawson, and Kevin Kirisits, who contributed one a piece.

Andrew Pikul rejected 17 shots on goal for Brockville. The Braves totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Brockville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and John Keane was ejected from the game.
