Wenatchee downs Dawson Creek, 4-1Town Toyota Center Fri, Feb 18, 2011 Story by Narrative Science.
Carl-Johan Sjogren racked up two points to lead the Wenatchee Wild to a 4-1 victory over the Dawson Creek Rage. Wenatchee's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Dawson Creek power plays. With 34 shots on target during the contest, the Wild exceeded the 30.4 shots they average per game this year. Wenatchee also got points from Shawn Pauly, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Michael Di Puma also scored for Wenatchee. In addition, Wenatchee received assists from Kyle Huson, who had two and DJ Vandercook and Bradley Shumway, who contributed one a piece. Dawson Creek was often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. The Rage had been averaging 29.0 minutes in penalties per game. Dawson Creek was led by Dakota Mason, who scored the team's only goal. Mason scored 8:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Zac Ashdown provided the assist. Wenatchee's Greg Lewis stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Wild incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Edward Dyson made 30 saves for the Rage on 33 shots.
