Joey House tallied two points to lead the Hawkesbury Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Hawkesbury stifled Ottawa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hawkesbury additionally got points from Jean-Philippe Vinet, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Hawkesbury included Jesse Meilleur, Gabriel Parent, and Christopher McPeak, who scored one goal each. In addition, Hawkesbury received assists from Ian Lavigne, Yanik Laliberte, and Marc-Olivier Potvin, who contributed one a piece. The Senators made Hawks' netminders to work between the pipes, totaling 36 shots and forcing 34 saves. Dylan BrindAmour made 10 stops and Maxime Bedard made 24. Ottawa was helped by Nik Draper, who finished with one goal. Draper scored 17:02 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Hawkesbury. Scott Best picked up the assist. Ottawa also got a goal from Stephen Hrehoriak as well. More assists for Ottawa came via Matt Sarazin, Chris Doyle, and Andrew Newell, who each chipped in one. The Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Dylan Leclair took the loss and made seven saves before being replaced by Alex Huard who made 15 saves. The Senators incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
