The Saskatchewan Wheatland Stars players their parents and the coaches are honored and proud to represent the southern half of the Province of Saskatchewan at the Winnipeg Champions Cup. The Stars have played together for 4 years and promote a positive atmosphere good sportsmanship skill development teamwork friendships and fun. 2004 highlights were A-side tournament champions at the Winnipeg North American Hockey Classic and the Regina Conexus Super Series B-side champions at the Saskatoon City of Bridges and a 5-4 loss to the Detroit Little Caesars in the A-final of the Winnipeg Champions Cup. The Stars won the Best Defensive Award at the Champions Cup for allowing the fewest goals against. The Wheatland organization enjoyed the high caliber competition and the wonderful hospitality of the host Manitoba Moose. We wish all the other teams good luck and look forward to once again playing in a first class tournament. Go Stars Go!
