Team Easton outlasts Misfits, 7-5

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Team Easton escaped with a 7-5 victory over Misfits.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Chris Boehmer at 8:30 of the second period.

Boehmer had a great game for Team Easton, netting two goals.

Team Easton forced Misfits goalie Joseph Cartigiano to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The defensemen of Team Easton were also effective in Misfits' zone, and came away with three goals.

Team Easton additionally got points from Tyler Hubeny, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Team Easton also had goals scored by Brian Kirk, who had two and Christopher Meyer and Weasel Hoffman, who scored one goal each. More assists for Team Easton came via James Murison, James Juliano, and Greg Godfrey, who each chipped in one.

Misfits' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Team Easton power plays. Misfits kept Team Easton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Glenn OConnell made 42 saves on 47 shots.

Misfits was helped by John Weeks, who had one goal. Weeks scored 3:20 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Anthony Madonia assisted on the tally. Misfits also got points from Daniel Kennedy, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Misfits included Dennis Kennedy, Thomas OBrien, and Wally Heaney, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Misfits were Nicholas Guastella, who had one.

Team Easton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Misfits' Cartigiano stopped 35 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Misfits incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
