Proper Score Keeping: Many Youth Hockey score keepers use the time on the clock for entering Goals and PM on the score sheet. This is often referred to as "up time". The NHL, LCAHL and Pointstreak data should be entered as "Down Time". This requires some basic subtraction to calculate the proper time.
If you are playing 15 minute periods, subtract the time of a goal or PM from 14.6 - If you have a goal scored at 3:45, subtract 14.6 - 3.45, answer is 11.15, so the time entered in Pointstreak and on the score sheet is 11:15. Ten minute periods would be 9.6
Game Scores: It is expected that upon the completion of a scheduled game that results are entered into Pointstreak scoring as soon as possible. Scores not entered into Pointsteak within 7 days of came copletion will result in a one game suspension of the teams head coach.
