Hockey Friends,
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
We have all been touched by John “Army” Armstrong in our lives. In the days after his passing, I was inundated with people asking how they could help and what could they do for a great husband, father and friend. We’ve had commemorative helmet stickers created and are receiving donations for the family. A trust fund has been set up to help the Armstrong family.
So now, we wanted to find another way that we could continue to help the family and also pay tribute to our friend. In honour of Army we’ll be hosting an event highlighting two of his favourite past-times…a game of hockey and post-game beverages/food. We’re looking to make this an annual event.
Friday, May 25th, 2012Game Times - 7:15pm -8:15pm or 7:30pm-8:30pm (The Thirsty Penguin will be open post-game)$50/player (All funds donated to Armstrong Trust Fund) I’m inviting past and present players from the Bucs, Alpine Hockey Club, Canlan refereeing crew and anyone else that would like to apart of this celebration. Please feel free to pass this on to any friends who would you think would be interested.
