Alex is a right-handed defenseman who can play both the right and left side of the ice.  He is a hard worker and gives everything he has every time he is on the ice.  Alex has great vision of the ice, is very smart with the puck, and rarely gets caught out of position.  Alex's favorite NHL player is Nicklas Lindstrom because he is a smart defenseman who rarely makes mistakes, rarely gets caught out of position, and seems to make the perfect play at the perfect time. 

Alex was recently named Co-Captain of his LC Team because of his tremendous leadership and maturity.  He was also chosen as Alternate Captain for the Troy Sting in 2007.  The team went on to win the 2007 Michigan State Title and was National Finalists.  During that time, Alex had the opportunity to play for one of his favorite coaches, Andy Oleksy.  Coach Oleksy pushed Alex to better himself every time he was on the ice, as do Coaches Ciraulo and Rataj, his current LC coaches.  The positive motivation and leadership of these coaches have helped Alex in his continual growth as a hockey player and young adult. 

Alex graduated in June 2008 from Eisenhower High School with a 3.3 GPA.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, tennis, basketball, and spending time with family and friends.  Alex would like to play Division I hockey while obtaining a degree.                                                  Email:  YzerAlex@WideOpenWest.Com
