Things are really heating up here at State Wars 9 and the playoffs have been pretty intense.  Here are some scores from last night and this morning!

1996 AAA Division:

Last night, the 1996 semi finals were some of the best games I've seen in a long time. The feisty New York team had Missouri on their heals but lost a close 2-1 match. With a 4 on 3 and the goalie pulled, New York had some chances to tie it up but they couldn't get one in the back of the net. Dillan Timme buried a nice shot to give Missouri the 2-1 win. Missouri's experience definitely won them this game!

In the other AAA Semi Final, Ontario took Colorado 3-1. Ontario finished their plays and shut down a powerful Colorado line up. It was very impressive! Ontario had some real nice snipes in this one!

Today Missouri will take on Ontario in the AAA final.

1996 AA Division:

Here are some scores from the 1996 AA division. Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch these games but I am hoping to be able to watch the finals!

Quarter Finals:

2-1 (NY over PA)
3-2 (WI over TN)
3-2 (MI over N.CAL)
7-0 (Fl over NC)

Semi Finals:
3-2 (FL over NY)
4-3 (MI over WI)

Finals are set for today at 4:40. Fl will take on Michigan for the AA cup!

1996 A Division:

Quarter Finals:

Indiana proved why they are the #1 seed in the A division. Ohio just didn't have as deep of a line up as Indiana this year. Indiana closes 7-0 on Ohio.

Florida did some damage over Nebraska to take the contest 8-1. Nebraska had some early chances but they couldn't capitalize on their chances. Florida's Noah Burger started the scoring off for FL and got his team rolling early. Coaching Munklewtiz is a real intense coach who gets 110% from his players and the intensity definitely helped them prevail in this one.

New Jersey takes Southern California in a 6-0 showdown to take their Quarter Final game. This was a fun game to watch because two of our staff members (Denis Jelcic and George Collins) battled each other for coaching bragging rights. We heard the bickering going back and fourth all day and I am actually happy it is over now. Denis takes this one!

Colorado took Missouri in a 6-2 game. Colorado was my early pick for this division so it didn't real surprise me but Missouri hung around and played some great hockey. A couple more scoring chances and this game could have went differently.

My prediction will be an Indiana and Colorado final!

Good Luck to everybody!
