The Canadian College World Series opened up on Thursday May 21st.  Six teams qualified.

Game 1:  # 5 University of Calgary Dinos win 2-1 over # 2 Okanagan College.   Ethan Webster threw a complete striking out 10 to advance the Dinos to the winner bracket.   All Conference OC Coyotes starter Ryan Powers went 6+ innings.

Game 2:  # 4 Edmonton Collegiate Hawks win 13-4 over # 3 University of Fraser Valley Cascades.  The Hawks bats came alive against the Cascades hammering 15 hits.  

Game 3. # 1 Prairie Baseball Academy win 7-3 over # 6 Vancouver Island University Mariners.  Zach Willard for PBA throws 6 strong innings.  Mariners shorts stop James Joyce hits a 2 run homer late in the game to make 7-3.

Day 2 Matchups:

10:00am- # 3 University of Fraser Valley Cascades vs # 6 Vancouver Island University Mariners-  Elimination Game

1:00pm- # 2 Okanagan College Coyotes vs Winner of 10:00am elimination game

4:30pm- # 4 Edmonton Collegiate vs # 5 University of Calgary
