Seton Hall fell 7–1 in their road matchup against Neumann University, as the Knights dominated the shot count. Neumann's aggressive penalty kill gave them 3 breakaway opportunities, 2 of which were netted, and quick transition game overwhelmed the Pirates early, leading to multiple goals off turnovers and extended offensive-zone pressure. Seton Hall showed flashes offensively; a goal off a turnover helped the Pirates get the game to 2-1. However, the Pirates neutral zone structure failed a couple of times leading to multiple odd-man rushes, and Neumann capitalized on nearly every mistake. Despite the score, there were strong individual moments on the forecheck and a few momentum shifts in the first and second period, but the Pirates couldn’t string together enough consistent play to stay in the game. Seton Hall will look to regroup quickly as they have a 3 game weekend upcoming against some of the top teams in the league, and the focus is to tighten up structure and limit high-danger chances against.
