Seton Hall fell 7–1 in their road matchup against Neumann University, as the Knights dominated the shot count. Neumann's aggressive penalty kill gave them 3 breakaway opportunities, 2 of which were netted, and quick transition game overwhelmed the Pirates early, leading to multiple goals off turnovers and extended offensive-zone pressure. Seton Hall showed flashes offensively; a goal off a turnover helped the Pirates get the game to 2-1. However, the Pirates neutral zone structure failed a couple of times leading to multiple odd-man rushes, and Neumann capitalized on nearly every mistake. Despite the score, there were strong individual moments on the forecheck and a few momentum shifts in the first and second period, but the Pirates couldn’t string together enough consistent play to stay in the game.
