Syracuse Salt Cats Capture Back-to-Back NYCBL Championships

Syracuse, NY – The Syracuse Salt Cats are once again on top of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL), winning the 2025 NYCBL Championship and successfully defending their 2024 title. With a thrilling postseason run capped by a decisive victory in Game 3 of the championship series over the Genesee Rapids, the Salt Cats have claimed their second consecutive league crown.

The Salt Cats secured the Eastern Division title to advance to the finals, where they battled through a hard-fought series to emerge victorious. Pitcher Tha’Mon McGriff was named Pitcher of the Championship Series and Weston Miller was named Hitter of the Championship Series respectively for their clutch performances, helping to seal the title for Syracuse.
