NEWPORT, R.I. – The Newport Gulls enter the final week of the 2025 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) regular season leading the Southern Division at 25-14, holding a one-game edge over the Bristol Blues. With a playoff berth secured after Saturday’s win over Bristol, Newport now looks to lock in top seeding with a stretch of five games in four days.

The Gulls begin the crucial week on Sunday, July 27, traveling to Wakefield to take on the Ocean State Waves at Old Mountain Field. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m., as Newport seeks its first win in Wakefield this season.

On Monday, July 28, Newport returns home for a doubleheader against the Danbury Westerners at Cardines Field. Game one, a makeup from a postponed contest in Connecticut on July 3, begins at 3 p.m. Game two follows at 6:35 p.m., with the Gulls serving as the home team. Both games are scheduled for seven innings. Monday is Volunteer Appreciation Night at Cardines Field, with the first 250 fans receiving 2025 Newport Gulls team card sets.

Tuesday, July 29, brings the Gulls’ final road trip of the regular season as they travel to Martha’s Vineyard for a pivotal Southern Division matchup against the Sharks. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Newport wraps up the regular season at home on Wednesday, July 30, hosting the Mystic Schooners. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday is Host Family Appreciation Night, with free admission for all kids under 12 years old.

With division seeding on the line and the NECBL playoffs set to begin Friday, August 1, fans will not want to miss the action. All home games at Cardines Field will be streamed live on ESPN+.
