Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy Seeking Assistant Coach

Position Overview:

Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy proud members of the CSSHL and a Tier 1 National Bound Program is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Hockey Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of the hockey program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the game, effective communication skills, and a commitment to player development on and off the ice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and game strategies
  • Provide skill development and feedback to individual players
  • Support player academic and personal development
  • Assist with game-day operations and bench management
  • Help evaluate talent during tryouts and recruiting
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and competitive team environment
  • Ensure compliance with league, school, or organizational policies
  • Attend all team meetings, practices, and games (including travel)

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching or playing experience at [youth/high school/college/pro] level preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hockey tactics, skills, and systems
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as needed
  • Coaching certification (USA Hockey) required
  • Background check and SafeSport certification required
