RED HAWKS ENTER BREAK ON WINNING NOTE

(Red Hawks, Anthony Oliveri and Michael Sadowski rock MSU's new holiday themed jerseys)

- Little Falls, NJ

An excellent effort over a strong Westfield State team went for naught on Friday when the Owls scored on a rebound with 14 seconds remaining to steal a 3-2 win over the Red Hawks.  Once again, penalties were the culprit with two of Westfield State's three goals coming on the power play.  During the game, MSU lost one of their top offensive players, Antonio Crispino to a lower body injury.

On Sunday, MSU boarded the but to travel to Massachusetts for the rematch, and following a "good luck message" from Crispino (DL: 2-4 Weeks), played an inspired, up-tempo style that had been missing the last few games.  After initially falling behind, 1-0, MSU went on a tear, eventually building up a 6-2 lead.  Westfield got one back late in the 3rd, but the game had already been decided by that point.

With the winter break ahead, the Red Hawks look to make a big final push to remain in the Northeast Top-20 and make a dent in the SECHL playoff tournament and maybe secure a ticket to the ACHA Regional Tournament in February.  They currently sit at 8-9-1.  A lot will be decided come 2025!  Lets go Red Hawks!
