The Grads earned their spot in the 32nd annual finals tournament in Forest Ontario after winning the Pembroke Regional qualifier in November. The tournament hosted Regional Champions from the US and Canada. Although the competition was tough, they went 3 and 1 after the preliminary round, with the only loss to the Walkerton Capitals. The team would then face the Caps again in the finals, with a championship at stake. The Grads adjusted, stepped up and outplayed the Caps in the final match. They won 2-1 in an exciting game that saw a lot of shots at both ends. 6 tournament all stars were named and all came from these 2 teams, Jackson Fortier (F) and Felix Lalonde (D) from the Grads earned this honour. Congratulations to the Grads on their 3rd Championship win of the season, successfully beating the top B teams in the Province and US qualifiers (Fremont Flyers, Nebraska) to claim the International Champions title and earning their spot on the Silver Stick plaque in the Hockey Hall of Fame!
