Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Pickering Panthers, Round 1 Game 4 - March 15, 2023

The Milton Menace are returning home on Wednesday to play game four of their first-round series against the Pickering Panthers. Milton currently leads the series 2-1.

The Menace are looking to rebound after a 4-0 road loss to the Panthers in game three on Sunday. Game three was the Menace’s first loss in Pickering’s building this season. Milton was down 2-0 heading into the third period and was unable to make a comeback. The Panthers scored an empty net goal and a power play goal in the final two minutes to double their total on the night. The Menace were outshot 39-29 in the loss.

Milton will be without forward Connor Driscoll for their next two games while he serves a suspension. He has two goals and an assist in the series and was a major difference-maker in game one. Defenceman Owen Kindree will be eligible to return to the lineup on Wednesday after serving a one-game suspension.

The Menace’s last home appearance was their dominant 5-2 victory in game two. Milton will be looking for a repeat of that win to help them take hold of the series and go up 3-1. Game four will be the difference between being up by two wins or being in a tied series. Pickering has momentum on their side coming into this game, so Milton will need to take control early and make a statement.

Come down to the Milton Memorial Arena to support the Menace on their quest for the Buckland Cup. Puck drop in Milton is scheduled for 7:00 pm. Wednesday’s game will also be streamed on Hockey TV.
