The Milton Menace continue to wind down on the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) regular season.

They drove to Stouffville to take on the Spirit at the Stouffville Arena. The last time the two teams played was on Sunday, January 29th. The Menace managed to outlast the Spirit, winning 4-3 in double overtime. Read the weekend recap here.

The first period on Thursday night was a quiet one. Neither team put the puck in the net and it was 0-0 after one period.

The second period was where the action kicked off, with Connor Driscoll opening the scoring for the Menace at the 4:48 mark. His goal was assisted by Myles Perry and Aidan Hughes. The Spirit would tie the game a few minutes later, but right when the period was about to end, Jared Coccimiglio gave the Menace the 2-1 lead. His goal was assisted by Lucas Buzziol. The Menace led by one after two periods.

1:38 into the the final frame, Aidan Puley would score to put the Menace up by two. His goal was assisted Bradley Banach and Carson Burlington. It would prove to be the game winner. Burlington would get a goal of his own (assisted by Cory Liu and Buzziol). The Spirit would also score a goal of their own, leading to the Menace getting the 4-2 win.

Forbes Anderson has seemingly clinched the full-time starting role, looking sharp on Thursday night. He stopped 23 of 25 shots, good for an even .920% save percentage.

The Menace next play Saturday, February 25th when they take on the Aurora Tigers at the Aurora Community Centre. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Their next home game will be on Sunday, February 26th against the Haliburton County Huskies. Game-time for that one is slated for 6:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena. Milton Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.

The final regular season game for the Menace will be on Saturday, March 4th against the Collingwood Blues.
