Milton Menace Preview: Menace vs Trenton Golden Hawks - February 17, 2023
After a few days off, the Milton Menace are back in action at home on Friday night. The Trenton Golden Hawks will be in town for a 7:30 puck drop.
Milton comes into this game off a huge come-from-behind victory against Oakville last Sunday. The 7-4 win saw multi-point games from four players. Lucas Buzziol led the way with a goal and three assists, while Aidan Hughes scored two goals and added a helper. The Menace scored six unanswered goals to close the game, including two on the power play and two on the penalty kill.
Menace forwards Jared Coccimiglio, Justin O’Donnell and Myles Perry are all on three-game point streaks. Each of them has recorded four points since Feb. 8.
Milton sits fourth in the North/East Conference with 59 points in 47 games played. Their record is 28-16-1-2 on the season. Trenton sits fourth in the South/West Conference with 63 points and a regular season record of 30-15-0-3. Their last game was on Monday night in Cobourg, where they came out with an 8-1 win.
Friday’s game will be the first and only meeting of the season between Milton and Trenton, as they are in different conferences.
Milton’s penalty kill has recently performed well and has now jumped to sixth in the league, operating at 85.9% this season. Their power play ranks tenth. Trenton sits 14th and 12th in penalty kill and power play, respectively.
Come to the Milton Memorial Arena on Friday night to support the Menace. The game will be streamed live on Hockey TV if you can't be there in person.
