Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Burlington Cougars- February 10, 2023

It’s a Friday night road trip to Burlington as the Menace are set to take on the Cougars at Central Arena in their second of three games this week.

Milton hopes to build on Wednesday’s 3-0 win in North York. Ivan Fabjan, Jared Coccimiglio and Myles Perry each scored a goal, with Connor Driscoll picking up two assists. Forbes Andersen made 26 saves to secure Menace’s win and the shutout.

Keep an eye on Driscoll, who is riding a three-game point streak. The forward has recorded two goals and six assists for eight points in his last five games.

Burlington sits just above Milton at third in the North/West Conference with 65 points. They also come into this game off a win as they beat Stouffville 4-1 on Tuesday. This game will be Burlington and Milton's third of four meetings this season. The teams last saw each other on Nov. 27, when they played in Milton, and the Menace came out with a 5-2 win. The Menace also won the first game between the teams earlier in the season.

Burlington averages the most goals of any team in the league with 4.80 per game and ranks near the top of the league in power play, and penalty kill percentages. It will be important for the Menace to continue to play tight in their own end against the potent Cougars offence.
