2023 Raiders Golf Tournament
Date: Jun 12, 2023
On the schedule this week is a Sunday night set for Milton Menace hockey at the Milton Memorial Arena. The Menace will be going to battle against the visiting Stouffville Spirit at 6:30 pm.
Milton is looking to bounce back after Friday’s 3-1 loss to Georgetown on home ice. Ivan Fabjan picked up the lone Menace goal, and Forbes Andersen stopped 33 of 36 shots. The loss brought their season record to 25-13-1-2.
Stouffville is also looking to return to the win column as they come into Milton off a 4-3 loss in Aurora. They have lost five straight, dating back to January 15th. The Spirit have a regular season record of 15-21-1-5 and sit eighth in the North/West Conference.
Sunday is the fourth game of a five-game season series between these teams. Milton won the first two meetings, followed by a Stouffville win in the third game. Two of three games this season needed overtime to decide a winner, the wins being split one per side. These teams have not met since Stouffville’s 2-1 overtime victory on November 4th.
Milton’s eighth ranked power play will be going up against the third best penalty kill in the league. The Spirit’s penalty kill has operated at 88.2% this season. The Menace went 0-5 on the power play against Georgetown and will look to capitalize on those opportunities against Stouffville.
Be sure to get your tickets and head down to the rink to support the Menace on Sunday. If you can’t make it out, the game will be available to stream on Hockey TV
