Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Brantford 99ers - January 26, 2023
It’s another week of Menace hockey at Milton Memorial Arena, but before the team returns home, they will head to Brantford on Thursday night. Thursday’s game against the 99ers is the final of a three-game road swing and the first of three games in four days for the Menace.
Milton is coming into the game off a massive 3-1 win in Collingwood on Saturday night. They will be looking to build on that win as they continue to push toward the playoffs. The win brought their record to 24-12-1-2. Thursday’s game will be the team’s 40th game of the season.
This will be the fifth and final meeting of the season between these two teams. Milton won the first three games, but in the fourth and most recent, Brantford blanked Milton 3-0. The 99ers victory came on Menace home ice on December 18. Brantford has lost eight consecutive games since they visited Milton and 13 straight games on home ice dating back to November 10.
Menace Captain, Owen Forester, comes into this game riding a five-game point streak, scoring two goals and five assists throughout those games. Another Menace to watch is Aidan Puley, who has scored five goals over the last five games.
The 99ers are coming off a 6-3 loss to Aurora and sit at the bottom of the North/West Conference in tenth with a regular season record of 5-37-0-2. They rank 20th in the league in goals per game, averaging 1.95, and 19th in goals against, averaging 4.86 per game.
The action will get started at 7:30 pm from Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. The game will be available to stream on Hockey TV.
