Well we ended up with a SILVER in the Presidents cup bracket at the CDC. We finished 3-2-1 over the weekend. This was a huge accomplishment for a team that was likely one of the smallest and youngest out there and was a testament to the progress they have made this year. But what the coaches were even more prouder of than the medal was the positive attitude and team camaraderie that the team displayed. From leading the chicken dance and the macarena and beckoning for the other teams to join in during warmup to the fact that they never got down on one another and supported each other all weekend. More than anything this underscored the value and importance of minor team sports for our kids! I look forward to seeing where these players go in their futures!
