It is not even July, however the Trenton Golden Hawks continue to build for the 2022-23 season.

Head Coach and General Manager Jerome Dupont announced the GHawks have re-acquired Sam Williamson.

Williams was a member of the Golden Hawks during the COVID cancelled 2020-21 season. During that season, Trenton played the first Hasty Ps Cup, along with another eight game series with the Wellington Dukes, and a two game mini-series with the Lindsay Muskies.

We are excited to bring Williamson back into the fold,” says Coach Dupont. “Working as a Coach at Brock University in St. Catharines last year, I was able to watch Sam while he played in Junior B with the St Catharines Falcons. He averaged close to a point a game.”

Dupont continued, “He will be a top six man in our line-up. Williamson is a heady player, who studies the game, and will make us a better team all around.”

Sam Williamson comes from a family that knows the OJHL well. His father Marty Williamson played in the league (then the OPJHL). He played for the Markham Waxers and Coached Milton, Newmarket, and Aurora.
