Game One Goes To The Dogs

Date:  Source: OJBLL: Halton Hills Bulldogs (NEW)

The Bulldogs showed once again just what made them one of the hottest teams down the stretch in June.  Defence, goaltending and timely scoring were all on display on Sunday afternoon in the Dogs' 12-6 game one win over the number two seeded Orangeville Northmen.

The Dogs lead the best-of-5 series one game to none with game two back in Georgetown at Alcott Arena on Wednesday night at 8pm.  Game three of the series is on Saturday, July 2 at 7pm at Tony Rose Arena.

The Bulldogs held the lead at the end of both the first and second periods.  The Dogs led 2-1 after one, but the Northmen did come back to take a 4-3 lead in the middle period.  From that point on, it was all Dogs and the visitors built an 8-5 lead through two periods.

The third period was all Dogs and Halton Hills outscored Orangeville 4-1 over the final 20 minutes to make the final 12-6.
