William Paterson University Ice Hockey released its 2021 - 2022 regular season schedule.  The 28 game schedule will feature matchups against nationally ranked ACHA D1 teams, ECHA divisional foes and some local matchups against ACHA D2 programs.  The Pioneers will hit the ice for preseason matchups against Montclair State and TCNJ in September.  To kick off regular season play, the Pioneers will travel to Villanova on September 24 (recently added non-league game) and nationally ranked Drexel on September 25.  ECHA play ramps up in October and November with several league matchups.  The Pioneers will also face off against long-time rival NYU with a home and home set on November 5 and 6 and will take on in-state rival Rutgers four times during the campaign.  The spring semester will kick off with games against D2 opponents Montclair State and Rider.  Five of the final seven games are ECHA matchups against Pennsylvania foes Lehigh, Villanova, West Chester and Temple.

With most of the returning players from the 2020-21 team and additions at forward, defense and in goal the Pioneers are optimistic heading into the new season.   Stay tuned for updates, team roster and apparel store launch as the new season gets underway!
