The initial 2012-13 season Janesville Jets players will be arriving into town next week, Thursday, August 23, to get ready for training camp and the upcoming season.  27 players will be at the double session practices that start on Monday, August 27. 

 

Four players are returning from last year's Jets squad, including Conor Lemirande, who has been named captain of the 2012-13 team.  Jets Head Coach Joe Dibble believes the organization has added quickness and goal-scoring ability with the incoming training camp roster.

 

The Jets also announce an exhibition game on Friday, September 7th, starting at 7 PM at the Janesville Ice Arena, versus the Twin Cities Northern Lights.  All tickets for this exhibition game are only $5.  The Twin Cities Northern Lights are a Tier 3 Junior A team playing in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League.

 

Jason Dobes, the Janesville Jets Assistant Coach, was the head coach of the Northern Lights two years ago.  

 

The Janesville Jets play their first regular season game at the NAHL Showcase Tournament at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota, on Wednesday, September 12, 10:30 AM vs. Minot Minotauros.  The Jets first regular season home game in Janesville is Friday, September 21, 

7 PM vs the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
