The newly signed Collingwood Blues defenseman Ricards Landmanis has been invited to attend the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation's U20 training camp in preparation for the World Juniors. Latvia plays in Group A of Division 1 during the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. 

GM Mike Tarantino had this to say about Ricard's invitation to Latvia's U20 camp, "We're excited for Ricards and his opportunity to compete in the Latvia U20 training camp this August.  It is not often you have a chance to represent your country and we are confident that Ricards will make the most of this opportunity. The entire Collingwood Blues Staff and Collingwood community would like to wish him the best"
