The Civics are proud to announce the re-signing of veteran forward Tyler Boyce for the upcoming 2020-2021 season!

Last season Boyce, from St. Peters, Nova Scotia was a fan favorite in New Tecumseth and had a career year in his first season with the Civics. He had 4 Goals and 6 Assists for 10 points and added 29 PIMs as a high energy forward who skated hard every shift.

The season before last Boyce spent with the Eskasoni Junior Eagles of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League (NSJHL) a junior ‘B’ league operating out of the maritime province.

Boyce was able to provide steady two way play and also chipped in on the scoresheet to the tune of 6 Points (2G, 4A) in 24 games.

As one of the older returning members of the Civics dynamic forward group Boyce will be relied upon for his hockey IQ and veteran leadership in order to help solidify the Civics attackers.

Boyce was very to be returning to the Civics as a leader this upcoming season, “I’m very excited to return next season and get back to work with the boys! Although last season didn’t go as planned, were going to be coming back stronger and more eager to get to that championship! Can’t wait to be back and ready to battle every day.”

Newly Hired Assistant Coach Matt Senra, who played with Boyce last season, is excited for Boyce to be coming back this year, “Boyce is well liked by all the guys, and it’s shown on the ice why the guys like him so much, he battles hard in both zones and goes all out every shift. This year Boyce is going to be looked at for a bigger role in producing both on the pk and offensive end. I think he has so much potential to be a big reason why this team has success this year.”
