Lethbridge, AB – The Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC) has announced the cancelations of both the 2020 Spring Season and the Canadian College World Series due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CCBC holds the health and safety of all players, staff, fans, and community as a top priority, therefore this is a decision that must be made in this difficult time.
A plan to hold the 2020 competitive season and championship in the Fall is being discussed among league executives, along with ensuring all players are eligible. More information will be made public once a proper plan is in place.
The CCBC has been monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19, including what local, provincial and federal health agencies have recommended and will continue to do so.
